They just put up a video of the Eflite UMX Beast. Looks amazing full aerobatics in a micro brushless. Looking forward to hearing when there's an on-sale date.

Aloha!
Thanks for starting this thread! If my predictions are right, the UMX Beast will be a significant advancement for ALL Micro aircraft.
Why?
1. AR6400LBL DSM2 6Ch Ultra Micro Receiver BL-ESC is a BRUSHLESS 3A Cont, 6A Burst DSM2 ESC, Receiver and Dual Servos. This produced an upgrade path for the American made Micros to go from DULL Brushed motors to more powerful and efficient brushless motors. Additionally this envisions an upgrade path for Eflite Micro Blade Heli's and for those who want to convert other models to use the superior feel DSM2/JR Transmitters eg Walkera 4G6. Although this BL Combo ESC touts 6CH, 2 are on the Built-in servos and the other 4 are on the X-Port. I don't know much about export and the feasibility of adapters. They will probably come out with a more practical 6CH in the future. Regardless I can see MOST of Horizon Hobby's present Micro line upgrading to this power system ie SU-26m, M-Trojan, M-P51D & Micro Blades.
2. 120mAh 2S 7.4V 20C Li-Po, 26AWG by E-flite. To get the performance we expect from these micros a 2S system is probably more feasible. Although there are other brands of Lipos with small capacities, this is the smallest in capacity and probably lightest 2S battery you can buy.
Back to the Beast! As of 10-20-10 the UMX Beast is about $170.00 and is due late November. YouTube also has more videos up of this powerful Micro. What really strikes you when you see this bird fly compared to the other Micros is its confident and strong execution of barrel rolls, snap rolls and verticals. There is practically no loss of altitude and level Knife Edge manuvers are possible! Claim that with the present Micros out there.

Well I got myself a little beast for the holidays as my first plane. Guy at the lhs tried to talk me out of it for my first plane but I couldn't resist. I have experience flying heli's and have flown planes on the simulator. It is an am amazing little bird. After a couple attempts in the wind i got out yesterday with no wind. Rolls, loops, and some short inverted flight was done with ease. Flew just like those 3d planes on my simulator.
