Default World Models sale...

If you were snoozen you were loozen...
Yesterday, Airborn Models in Livermore Ca, the distributor for World Models had their 2nd annual parking lot sale.
Scratch & dent, returns, big assortment of wings, fuses, cowls, flight boxes, plane stands, some prototype models of production planes in ARC form and slow movers.
I came away with a GS Rockwell Mustang NIB (some bags open but nothing missing) for $250.00.
A NIB Spitfire (small hole in a wing bottom) $130.00.
A Combat Thunderbolt, completely assembled, unflown, 20 bucks.
A pair of GS Miss America wings, 20 bucks.
A pair of Fun World 3D wings, 20 bucks.

I could have bought more but my garage door would have refused to open when I came home.

Default Any advance notice?

That's really great...how much notice did they give? maybe you could post on a forum, the next time they have one. I'd certainly consider driving or flying up to get some stuff......Thanks for the info. I just spent full price on a GS Mustang......

Kinda makes me wish I were still living in SoCal... NOT!!!

What they need is a Scratch and Dent section like Tower and Horizon have.

Airborn dose not advertise the sale, they leave it up to "word of mouth" because it's not that big. About 50 people turned out and it was elbow to elbow in the small room of the warehouse where the sale items were displayed.
I counted 3 GS Mustangs, and 2 Spitfire's but there were many 120 size Extras, 120 size Ultamate bipes and others plus all the wings, fuses and other stuff.
