Well, im taking the step of possible new ground & puttimg a dle20 in myucando 60 & Lord willing it will be a match. Its fitting inside the cowl pretty good as a matter a fact. I have to cut a little out for the muffler & maybee a tad for the plug but it appears its going to work. I just got started tonight. Ive got all the hinge slots about ready, ive got the horizontal & vertical stabs epoxied into place. I didnt want to use the factory settup. Ive even got the pilot ready, its the diggem smacks frog!! Ill try to post pics when i can.

Yesir two batteries. Im still using nimh & nicads. Yours looks good too, or better actually.

2 1/4 oz @ tail to balance. And a very little tail heavy which i prefer on these types of planes.

The receiver and a nhmi where located in the rear. I cut a hatch for the battery to mount in the rear for balance reason. I no longer have mine those are just pic of the girl when she has good legs....[8D] I lost mine in a tail slide when i ran out of gas T-rolling for quite a long time. I think it just got to good to me. The U can do is a strong T-rolling plane. I think that is all i use to do with it as it did that move the best......i think mine was just less than 8 1/2 lbs with all nhmin batteries on it. I am putting together a Showtime now that has been sitting in my hanger for quite some time after the YS-120 blew. I am mounting a DLE 20 on one battery. I should have it ready to start up later on this afternoon...... I am running it on a fromeco regulator with 2 leads so that I can run one battery on the entire set-up....

oh yeah u will be fine with the CG the manual is very conservative..

Well, i maidened it today!!! Talk about power to spare LOL!!! i bet i flew it at around 1/8 throttle and thats no joke! I think i balanced it right on. Perfect takeoff & landing. Im having a little idle down problem like others but i believe it will work out. Im going to figure out a way to put a lever to be able to choke it though. I LOVE IT!!! although its WAY over powered, its all about throttle control. In my opinion, go with this configuration, you wont regret it. It even fits under the cowl with minor cutting so thats good.

hi I am here in Croatia and just ordered the 60 with dle 20 , nitro is to expensive here to run my can 46 with a gms 61 good combo ,and I have to drive to 10 hours to Austria to get fuel at $40 for 10%. So I am converting to all gas this will be my 4 gas and will also convert my Saito 125 to gas .I wanted to ask you what prop are you using with the dle 20 and how is the prop clearance in the do 60?

I put a master airscrew classic 16x6. It seems to be avgood match.

ok thanks , i did not know so i ordered a apc 16x8 and a 15x 10 to try out , Saturday it is getting put in to a container and i should get it here about a week before Christmas a good Christmas present, how do you like it , is that combo working out good for you .

most flyers are loving the vess and xoar 17 x 6 on the 20 if you have the room to run that deal..... expects 8200-8400 rpm if memory servers me correct

Oh its a great combo for me. It will all depend on your flight style. But so far so good.

thanks that will be my next order from the states , is it posible to put on any tuned pipe or cam muffler on the 60 or is the wing olso in the way as the 46 to do a tuned pipe on the side.

:)Will the UCD with the 20 hover this plane decently?
I love the UCDs and with a gas engine that would be nice.

Not sure on the pipe, im sure there is a way some how. Mine has so much extra power that its unreal. I havent flown in a while but i would bet irmt has way more than enough power to hover it.

yes it will hover it i flew mine long ago on a rcs-1.4 and that motor was no way as powerful as the dle 20

Well I finally got my stuff today looks grate no shipping damage I got a del 20 and a 55 beautiful. Tomorrow I start putting it together.any advice on extra precautions.

Just take your time as with any other build. I should take my own advice lol! Seriously, just take your time & get the engime mounted correctly & mount all of your rx equipment as far back as you can. Less weight the better. Post pics on this particular post of your process & finish

I'm having difficulty mounting the engine on mine, but yours looks great in the pictures. Did you have to modify your engine mount much? I'm finding the engine just a bit too wide for the included mount, and the throttle levers are impeded by the back of the mount.

If at all possible could you snap a picture showing closer detail of your setup?

Did first a little wing tip repair from shipping , the engine mounted easier than I thought simple with a few mods, choke is also figured out ,grate so far so good.cant upload pics too big need to resize first
