Options for biplane
Hello, I I have been a member of RC Universe for some time now, but this is my first real posting.
I have been looking for a plane for a few weeks now and still haven't made up my mind. I am an experienced modeler and have been flying planes and helis for about 15 years on and off now. I am looking for an ARF biplane that can run a 20cc gas engine. I have found a few biplanes that I like but only 1 is the size I am looking for. The Super Sky Bolt is the only one that I have found information on that will accept a 20cc gas engine. I really like the style of the Ultimate Bipe but have not been able to find one that is in ARF form. Does anyone know of another brand of plane that matches what i am looking for, or at least a good source of info I may look at. Again im looking for a biplane similar to the Ultimate, or a Pitts that that is the right size for a 20cc gas engine, maybe even a 30cc gas engine. Thank you everyone in advance. Thanks, -Wayne |
RE: Options for biplane
The World Models has a wonderful 1.20 sized Ultimate Biplane that would easily take a 20cc gasser. I had one that I flew a lot for two years before passing it on to another modeler. I had a 2-stroke 1.20 glow engine in it, but I have no doubt that it would handle a 20cc gas engine.

RE: Options for biplane
Seagull models(distributed by Horizon hobby, I believe) has a 90-1.20 size ultimate that a 20cc easily fits in. I my self have been waiting for a true 30cc ultimate as well. I see that Goldwingrc makes a 30cc ultimate and Pitts, just hard to get any info on them. Right now I'm starting on 1/5 scale Waco from Kangke models. So far, it looks fairly nice.
