I think it'd be fine, as long as you prop it for 40-45mph. (Maybe a 15x5 or 6)

New gear!

TNT no. LG28-1842

Brian, I also ordered a set of the Twist 150 gear from my LHS for a backup. I could get three of those for what the new gear cost from TNT but I learned that AFTER I'd already ordered.

Moving the gear ahead 3/4" and using the front mounting holes in the plane and the back mounting hole in the gear works great...You just need to epoxy a 1/4 ply mount inside the floor of the plane and drill two blind nuts into it for the other two mounting bolts in the gear...I dont know if I have described this very well but it is very easy and costsalmost nothing...The original gear works great on our bumpy grass field..I almost never nose over anymore..I had an awfull time before I did this..The gear is a wee bit lite and easy to bend but this plane is so easy to land that I very seldom have a hard landing..I really like the looks of the swept back gear...

Moving the gear forward seems to be a popular choice - glad it works for you.

I upgraded my wheels from the stock 3-1/4" to 4"...

... and the new configuration allowed me to remove 1-1/2 oz of ballast weight from the back of the firewall.

I flew the new setup yesterday. It's still great in the air, and now all ground handling problems are gone.

Well Grosbeak I actually feel like a bit of a fool because I had already ordered a gear from TNT before I tried to relocate the Pulse's own gear..I just got impatient waiting..I now have a really nice extra gear from TNT that I could use if the orginal fails...Or I will use it on somthing else..TNT makes nice gear...I just thought I might be able to save sombody a few dollars by sharing how easy moving the gear ahead is...Plus you dont have to wait....

The tip is much appreciated - and it might help someone else!
