WHAT SERVOS TO USE

I have the vector flight Edge 540, 66 inch wing. Have put a magnum 91 4stroke on it. Do you think standard servos have enough power to handle this airplane?

All imput welcomed, Thanks
Wings nh.

I used Hitec's, the dual ball bearing standard one, on mine. Wonderful for the flying I do (no 3D) - I do rolling circles, ordinary snaprolls, etc. If you're flying pattern or 3D you may have tastes that run to more expensive servos, I'll stick with the standards for now.

Good luck,
Dave Olson

If you push it much, servos with 70+ ounce torque may be saver. Is one servo running the elevators?this is one place to pay special attention.A single standard here ,is not a good idea

With an engine that size, yes, it will be enough.

a cheap fix for getting more torque is to go to 6 volt battery i have an ohio models profile 540 with standard hitec servos and 6 volt battery and and no problems

RE: WHAT SERVOS TO USE

Look's like standard hitec servos on the 6 volt system ma be the way to go.
Are there any special considerations when going to 6 volt?

Thanks, wings nh.

RE: WHAT SERVOS TO USE

no not with hitec anyway there servos and reicevers operate at 6 volt i called hitec when i decided to run 6 volt and they told me no problem and that i would get about a 20 percent incr. in torq and speed
