i wonder which company (the use of it's logo on the decals) is posing the barrier to getting those decals stamped and approved

According to ads running in Model World, the planes are now "trademarked" and the ads show the new decal set installed on the plane. The delay is probably the slow boat from China and the overwhelming pre-orders response.

Man...I leave this thread for a couple weeks and now your talking about an electric Rare Bear. I'm just not even going to say it.....but I guess I will...Even the Ultrastick 40 with the Jett 90 on it would beat that thing!!! I could bring one of Sam's little electric airplanes for you to fly if your that hard up (Ages 8 and up)....HeHe..

I will be installing retracts in the Bear when I get it. You guys think doing a tail wheel retract is worth it?

This model is slower coming out than the real Rare Bear is flying. There are alot of Dago red models out there ready to go. I would suggest buying one of those as a protest to the slow release of Rare Bear.

Any bets the tower site says mid august in a couple days??? Ohhhh well.... I suppose if it doesn't happen till mid September it'll just motivate/inspire me even more to buy it !! (acctually, after seeing it last october in Vegas... I've just got to have it no matter what!)

Just got an email from Ace's Steve Clem

"The good news is Rare Bear is here. The bad news is, we didn't get our full
shipment. They are coming in three shipments, so the shops are getting them
as we do. "


I hope it's going to be a winner!!! (Sure looked like a beauty when I saw it Last October at the Vegas Trade show!!)

Tower now says, early August and no details or specifications have been posted.

Anticipation is half the fun. If only the add said "Rare Bear and Woman" it might make the anticipation that much better.

last week I wqas getting some stuff from Chief Aircraft, and I asked if they were going to sell them..... Larry (i think) said they've got a few in stock and only $289.00..... Give 'um a call!!

I called Chief and they still had one for 289.00 but would be 20.00 for shipping.....I'm cheap enough to wait on Quantum at 289.00 plus no shipping charge
