Hey Double R,
It's not busted! Haven't ya ever had a plane with retracts?? LOL

Well guys, I'm back for a bit. Things are kinda backed up for me but I have some good news: HUMMER is back! I got a call from him today and got to pick his brain on a few things. He is back from "Southwest Asia." Better know as Quatar. He's under orders not to talk about what and where and all that other pertinent info. (I'm used to it....... Dad just recently let us all know his whereabouts during the Cuban missile crisis. He's about to turn 91!) His call sign "Humrnv" has to do with his deep love for a Hummer vehicle....... "Hummer envy." He's an 11 year Air Force vet and still has a deep love for modeling. We are sending his new JERRY'S BIG BOY ARF kit to WHO's Hobbies in Rapid City, S.D. along with our thanks for all he has done for his Country. He's a Dad to three kiddos that are really glad he's home! I'll do some more work on this and keep you posted. We are planning a little picture taking at the hobby shop and will get pics posted on here soon. Thanks to all of you that made his dream of owning a JBB come true. (Randy.... I got your number and will call you later tomorrow.)

ICE, Glad to hear that all's well with hummer. I pulled one hitch in the AF also. I was several thousand miles away during the missle crises on Guam. I did return to Homestead AFB when I came home though. :) Hope he gets to fly the BB before it gets too cold up there. Yaahh. ( that's my best Fargo impression:eek:), Anyway, looking for some cool weather here to fly my BB some. I ain't flyin' no more on them there 90+ degree days.

keith i would have loved to have been there. i had to work our fall rv show this week end, but next week end i am off sat and sun for the paducah fly-in and i plan on making up lost time and fuel burn. i plan to have the spoiler, funtana, 102" QQ yak, and the wild hare extra ready to go so maybe i won't run out of planes to fly in two days. haha!!!!
i did maide the funtana 100x this afternoon and it is a sweet flying plane. the engine needs some break in time and i need to get the header and beer can adjusted.

Guys huckfest at Puryer Tn hog fram international was great. Thanks to Frank for the invite, the runway and pits are just like walking on carpet. It was a bit windy but I managed to get in about 6 flight total for the day. Frank and I got to down and dirty with a his JBB and my spoiler with the wind knocking us around pretty good. It was a great turn-out of pilots all but Randy no-show Racer. Thanks again to Frank

Randy I tried to talk Frank into doing some tail touches in the pond. I think that he might have thought that it would be a smelly idea. Just hold your breath for me to show up a Paducah.HA HA

Hey Everyone,

Here's a few pics from our first Huckfest at HFI (Hog Farm International for those that aren't familiar with it). :D I thougth I would post a few over view shots so everyone out here can see what all the stink is about, :D along with mostly Spoiler and JBB pics here in this forum, then do a full length spread with the rest of the pics in the Club House Forum. That way it would kind of be more on topic to this thread. I'll come back and post a link to the other thread when I get it up......

I don't know if the captions will show up on the pics, but we've got Bubba "spoiler- man" flying his white Wabbit Hunter Spoiler. (Hmmmm, maybe that's why Randy no gear, aka, no strings, aka Double R didn't show up? ;) ) I'm flying my JBB, There is David Whalen's mid wing Spoiler, along with Bill Glisson and Josh Gregory with their Spoilers. Also David Robinson with his Funtana 90. The winds didn't cooperate at all. 15 to 20, and swirling 180 degrees.....It slowed the flying a bit, but not the friendship shared between all of us. A special thanks to Tim G for taking a lot of these pics. I tend to get side tracted at these things and forget to take pics. [:@] Sorry I didn't get one of you Tim......
