Pizzaz Questions?
like a raped ape!!! Iwould suggest using carbon fiber gear(something extra style) from tnt ultralight tires, lighweight battery pack, sullivan RST style flex tank 12oz micro servo on throttle, and use dual elevaror servos, hs 85mg mounted under the elevator, this would keep your overall weight down and balence everything nicely, my pizzaz is 4ld 10oz and has unlimited vertical with a saito 72.

I would also recommend using a high torque servo with pull pull on the rudder, there are precut holes in the fuse for this, as well as using 4-40 hardware on alerons and elevator, throw away the hinges that come with the kit.

I kind of think you would have a tail wagging the dog. Also you are going toward heavier. You have to balance out that 2.7oz and this plane already tends toward too heavy unless you take extraordinary measures. Granted the OS91FX will handel the extra weight as if it weren't there, but the flying characteristics of the plane will still be adversely affected. I would go the way of dntmn and go for light. At 4lbs 10oz a Webra 50 or Irvine 53 or some such would make this plane dance if you prefer a 2 cycle. If you really want this type of a home for your OS91FX I would go for a Graupner Show Flyer or a U2cando3D (or whatever that things called). Actually one night in my garage I was holding my Pizazz in my right hand and my OS91FX in my left and saying this can be done. The next morning I was sobered up and the idea was gone. Also the Pizazz has a definite weakness in the motor mount that probably won't go well with the OS91FX |
