So many great combos to pick from... What are you looking to spend and how big do you want to go?

I have 2 that fit that description and I really like both of them. I have a Dave Patrick Extra 330 with a zdz 40 and I have a Kangke Texas Hurricane with a Sachs 3.1. Both planes fly very well and the Hurricane lands like a trainer.

A friend of mine has a Lanier Cap 232 with a BME 50 on it and it is very nice too.

Other planes to consider would be the H9 80" Cap, Dave Patrick Edge 540, Great Planes Pitts, Great Planes Wagstaff Extra 300.

I am sure there are others but these are some of the more popular ones. There are some popular conversions out there like the poulan 46cc and Homelite has some good ones too. There seems to be a lot of bang for the buck with these engines.

These planes are expensive to get into but they are very cheap to fly. I can fly all afternoon on $1.50 worth of gas. Good luck

World Models Extra with a ZDZ 50 is an awesome combo. I'm sure the ZDZ 40 would be great too.

I have the world models extra with a G45 and it is big fun. There are so many 80"WS size planes to choose from and engines in the 40-50cc size. People have their favorites and many of them are great running and flying. Good luck!

Joe :)

I agree with outcast. The Texas Hurricane is awesome. Quality is first rate, and price is reasonable. It will slow to a crawl and still be stable. Never seen anything like it on a large aerobatic plane.

GP Wagstaff 300s with a BME 50. The plane at $400. is a great value ( most of the included gear is quality)and the BME 50 (while not the cheapest) is the best power to weight with a side intake for ease of mounting.

I've seen 2 so far at our field with this set-up and it fly's great.

My 2cents.

EVFAST,

I also have a Texas hurricane with a 3.2 Taurus I flew it for the first time this Sunday I made six flights. This is one fine airplane, give it some consideration. I can't believe how EASY this plane is to fly especially SLOOOOOW it almost lands itself I happen to think this is a perfect plane first time gasser! No bad tendency's at any flight speeds. Give it some thought. CHIEF aircraft has them for $369. includes shipping. top quality kit. I would buy another.
GOOD LUCK IN YOUR CHOICES
AJT ;^)

Does the Hurricane come with a 2 piece wing? how about some engine advice on both off these planes. I'm ready to go buy this weekend.

Thanks
Mike

The Hurricane does come with a 2 piece wing. I think they are in the same category with engine selection. For the best combo I would go with a BME 44 or 50, or a zdz 40 or 50. Also, Fox 2.4, brison 2.4 ect would be great. Mine has an old Sachs on it which is quite heavy, but you would never know it while flying it. Can't go wrong with this plane.

I also fly a Texas Hurricane with a Taurus 52. I would have to say its one of the best planes out there. Easy to land and will do any thing in the book.

DIESEL
What prop are you using on your TAURUS 52 ? I'am using a mejzlik 22/10 with outstanding performance! Also I find this motor to be extremely smooth has no tendency to shake the plane apart. I'am not sorry I selected this motor!!
