which plane for OS 55AX
Looking for 2nd glow powered plane but I have a few years experience with gliders.
my glow trainer is now being flown to its limits so its time for something else. I was thinking about a "stick" type plane but dont know the range too well that is.. something trainer like for lazy flying but I can throw around when I want to... whats suitable that you all know of? thanks in advance. |

The Hanger 9 Piper Pawnee is cub like plane that I use for relaxing flying. If you have the need for speed try Hanger 9's Sun Downer 50.

Would a calmato 60 have enough punch with a 55ax?
Honestly I'm looking for something non-scale.. not for relaxed flying as in "lazy" but for something that is "not valuable" ie not pretty that I dont want to scratch/damage and so not be nervous/cautious flying..... |
RE: which plane for OS 55AX
I just bought a Hangar 9 Tango and put a 55AX in it. This is a great fun-fly plane and will do everthing. It's not an ultimate 3D machine, but it's a whole lot of fun to fly. One of the easiest ARF's I've ever assembled. The 55AX has plenty of power for it. Here's a link to a thread on the Tango:

Tower Hobbies Kaos 40. Cheap and it will fly slow or fast. Well worth the money!

RE: which plane for OS 55AX
Truth is i'm not looking for a plane which will dart from one side of the field to the other....
I am starting to think of stretching the bank to a 40/46 size engine all the same... 52/55 planes just seem to be rare!? or are they just in existance to give "hyped up" 40s? |
