Setting cg on a low wing plane
 
Do you cg a low wing plane canopy down, or canopy up?

i do all my low wings canopy down, thats the way all my club members do too

CG will not change when inverted. CG is CG. It is just sometimes easier to balance the low wing plane inverted because more of the mass is below the balance points. I balance both ways for CG, whichever is easier given the size and shape of what I'm balancing. Lateral balancing I always do right side up because it is easier to hold the tail.

I balanced my Kaos both inverted and level and I could not see a difference. As mentioned above Lateral balance was done level and made a big difference in flight.

Thanks! Yea, It holds its setting much better canapy down. Up, and it stays down on the tail or nose depending on which I push down......871
