RE: BH MODELS (CAP 232-80)

Hi,
I recently bought this model from a club member that passed away. I was very happy to find some others that are flying this model and what modifications you all are doing. One question... We could not find the wing bolts for the plane. Could you tell me what size wing bolts the model uses? I've tried the following:

1/4 - 20
1/4- 24
1/4- 28
M7 - 1.0

None seem to fit just right. I could force the M7, but i don't want to strip the threads.

I'm running an FTL 50cc engine, which seems to be plenty of power for this size plane. I'm also using Hitec 645 (132oz w/ 6v) servos for the rudder and both ailerons. However, I decided to use some Spectrum DS821 servos (88oz torque w/ 6v) i had that came with my DX7 transmitter, for each elevator control surface. I'm guessing 88oz is enough since there are 2, but I'd like your opinions before i try to fly it.

Thanks!

Anyone have any idea what wing bolts this plane needs? I'm really at a loss not being able to fly this plane because of some silly wing bolts.

Skyguy,

Have you tried M6 bolts? I think they are M6. I will check for you.

James.

Thanks Jym. How's your project coming? Did you fly it yet?

Yes skyguy, I have flown my model and can confirm that is flies very well. It is very light weight, though, which makes it a little touchy in the wind. But all maneuvers are handled with good precision. I am very happy with it.

Hi guys!

Any more info on the Cap 232 ?

Is it built too light ?
In a way that you must reinforce any area ?

Also,
will an OS 160FX fly it ?
Sport flying not 3d.
