2.4 receiver question

I have a world models nemesis 52 and a hangar 9 twist 150 that needs receivers (2.4) I was looking at Spektrums AR6200 and AR7000 Other than size, are there any real performance differences here? Or, as long as it's full range, what other receivers do you guys recommend for 2.4? I'm using the JR X9303 radio/transmitter.

Thanks

YOu are not hurtting any thing by putting that in here. I know that you are going to put that in a arf so it is fine.

If it's full range, it should work fine. I use both and have had no problems.

As long as it is a full range unit I would use the least expensive model that has the right number of channels.

Do you already know how to fly RC planes? Asking only because you mentioned 'still new' the Nemesis and Twist are not exactly 'new guy' models.

Wow Ed your so wicked smart, I hope you have fun blessing us with your quick and suttle reminders that we might not know things, or better yet, which fourm to put it under. A wise man was once a beginner too.

Well I'll try and clear up the issue for you;

Both the 6200 and the 7000 are full range rx's, just one is a 6 channel and the other is a 7 channel.

With the exception of the new AR5000, all the full range rx's have at least one satellite rx. The new AR5000 is also full range but has a slightly different antenna arrangement than the other full range rx's and it is 5 channel. The little rx's other than the AR5000 like an AR6100 without a satellite rx, are defined as Park Flyer/small electric type rx's.

Any Spektrum/JR 2.4GHz transmitter with the exception of the DX6, can run any Spektrum/JR 2.4GHz rx. The DX-6 can only run an AR6000 rx, but your X9303 will even run that older AR6000.

Does that help clear things up for you?

Zeeb....yes, thank you very much. I guess I was just wanting to keep my equipment safe, but not spend more $$$ than I needed to.

Thanks again

Don't you think that using the RADIO FORUM would be a better idea for obtaining this kind of information ? ? ? :eek: durrr [>:]
Just my .02 but if you have time to type this type of response why don't you either answer the question, or hit the back button and move on to a thread you find more interesting?

If the thread is that far off topic, one of us will be happy to move it.
