Removing bubbles from ARF covering
How do you remove the bubbles in the covering on an ARF fusalage? Do you use an iron or a heat gun? Should you poke a needle hole in the skin to let the air out? Please be specific.
Thanks |
Removing bubbles from ARF covering
I poke a hole with a needle at one side of the bubble....
then apply a little heat with the tip of the iron, and work the air out towards the hole with the iron, and my finger. You can't always get it perfect....but much improved.... :D Dave. :) |
Removing bubbles from ARF covering
To keep the Film from shrinking too much after your done IRONING
Rub a cold damp rag over the surface . This gives you a really pro look. Also use some of that Great Planes Monicote polisher. You will have a really shiny plane. |
