RE: Decathalon
They are very similar. Rumor is that they're made in the same place - both made in Vietnam. I had the Phoenix Decathlon and thought it was pretty nice. I was amazed at what I got in the package for the price I paid. I was able to use all the hardware and assembly was pretty easy, except that the wing strut directions are not very clear. Easy to figure out though.
Plane looks great on the ground and in the air, flies really nice. Again, Seagull and Phoenix are very similar, and identical in quality and features. |

Hey gaRCfield do you remeber what motor you ran on yours and what was the weight? thanks Tim

RE: Decathalon
I ran an OS 55AX with stock muffler. I don't know the weight; I've never weighed a plane.
I didn't have the plane long enough to get the engine broken in and get full power, but if you are interested in scale flying a .47 will be fine. I had this plane before I understood what scale flying was, and before I actually started flying full-scale planes. A .47 would suit the plane well. |
