If you used only one servo for the wing it's going to be very tight under the canopy to install all the electronics. Using a servo on each aileron takes that servo out of the fuse and opens up the under side of the fuse so you can put your battery there. You will love this air plane. Which engine are you running? I have an OS55Ax in mine and it really hauls the mail.

If you used a single servo in the wing put the RX in the called for location, on top of the servo tray, but put the battery next to the fuel tank, unless you are using a monster battery it will fit, my wife has an 1100MaH battery in hers.

I've got a 4 Cell Rx pack and the Spektrum receiver on the front of the servo tray on mine. With a Saito 72 it balances perfectly.

I also ran into problems because I used only one servo for the ailerons. My wing wouldn't fit, so I placed the battery on top and the the remote receivers on the bottom. This is opposite of what the manual says, but I maidened the plane today at it worked okay.

Hey Oldvet70-

How did you fit a 1100 mah battery next to the fuel tank? I thought about it, but I didn't think the battery would fit.

I placed my 1100 NiCad flat pack on top of the fuel tank, the fit was perfect. Also since my Escapade came out slightly tail heavy, by putting the battery where I did, I did I did not have to add any weight. I have a Magnum 46 XLS in the plane and it has been flying great for over a year.

I never thought of placing the battery above the fuel tank...I guess I didn't think it was an option. I assume you have the batter wrapped in foam?

I just moved the fuel tank off center and the pack fit right next to it.It is a tight fit but thats okay.

Both battery and tank are wraped in 1/4 inch foam. Works very well.

I use a battery pack with 4 AA batteries. Also have one servo for airelons. I put the reciver infront of the rudder and elevator servos and battery in front of that. Kinda tight but fits. Had to use a fastener to keep canopy closed(magnets not strong enough)
