Default Horizontal tailplanes (stabiliser)

Two types of horizontal tailplanes are possible - simple flat plate section or built up airfoiled lifting section. I have flown autogyros with each type, no real difference noted.
Anybody got comments? Flat plate type has the advantage it is quicker to build!

Default RE: Horizontal tailplanes (stabiliser)

I don't think it matters. The stab is acting as a damper, not a flight surface.
