FlyingBalsa is pleased to introduce a flight simulator model of the PT25 / PT Gyro for FMS version 2.0 alpha 8.5 flight simulator. FMS is a free download.
The visual model is very accurate and the flight dynamics are very close within the limitations of FMS.
The software has been in beta test since the first of the year with both new gyro pilots and customers who are flying the PT series. Feedback has been very positive.
We believe that this will be a valuable tool for orientation training and for the unique pitch and power characteristics of a model autogyro.
The software will be a free download from our website in a few days. We hope that this will help "de-mystify" the RC autogyro and help more modelers experience this intresting and unique side of our hobby, whether they scratch build or purchase one one of the proven designs on the market.
We strongly advise that you have FMS running properly on your computer before installing our model. There is also a very special controller calibration routine that must be followed to properly simulate an autogyro. There will be a very important readme file in the package that explains the limitations of the sim, as well as proper setup and calibration of the controller. The model will not work with keyboard controls.
Here is a link to a short [link=http://www.flyingbalsa.com/flightsim/FBFMSmovie.wmv]movie[/link] of the PT in FMS.
Check our website in the next few days for our FMS page.

John,
I wish I had the patience right now to make FMS work for me.. But with Real Flight working I use it.. No Gyro's but Heli's and fixed wing..
But I don't have any trouble with the PT 25..
