Hi All,
After growing bored with my wings and planes, Im looking for something completely different.
So perhaps I can get a little fun with an ARF (or a kit atleast) autogyro thats affordable, and is able to get its freak on with electric power.
The reason I want it to be a kit or an ARF, is because taking the time to build something from scratch isnt really my cup of tea. Im one of those "Slap together in a weekend and go" flyers.
So anything thats precut or even partially pre built would be quite to my liking.
Theres a couple nice ones out there, but I havnt seen one thats below 200 dollars, wich is rather redicious if you ask me. Some of em are simply airplane fuselages with a windmill slapped ontop, and they still dare asking 280 dollars for it. [X(] Something around 100 dollars for a bare chassis would do the trick for me.
So who knows a nice shop to get a quick and easy taste of Autogyro's?
Regards,
Sven

If you dont care what it looks like, check out the Airmadillo Kombat Kopter. $124 or so.

I have a Kombat 40 trainer that I plan to convert to Gyro one of these days with the conversion kit. I also have a Kombat Bipe that is a lot of fun. Ugly as sin but sure are attention getters!

The thought of simply bolting on an autogyro module on basicly any regular topwing fuselage, is quite amuzing. But I dont have any wood crates to do this. [&:]
I dont much care for looks on my first autogyro.
But when its over 100 dollars and still looking like a slowstick thats having a bad day, its a little rich though.
I woulnd mind making a fuselage from scratch, but the rotorhead scares me a bit. Making blades and a crown kinda looks like one hell of a mean chore.

Try Autogyro Company of Arizona . They have a couple to choose from, one based on a sig Rascal. None are cheap however. I built the big Kellet kit, but for learning an Autogyro I bought a PT-Gyro from Flying Balsa. com. Nice kit, easy to fly. Here's some links:
Autogryo Company of Arizona - http://www.autogyro-rc.com/default.asp
Flying Balsa - http://www.flyingbalsa.com/
There's also an Autogyro section here on RCU, Under Helicopters.

The scamp is a real beauty, but the price is not human. [:@] I mean 350 bucks for a rudder trainer with autogyro module, and no powersystem whatsoever. Id atleast expect a fat brushless motor for that price.
The PT25 is getting real close, but still rather expencive for what you get.
And thanks for telling theres an autogyro section, ill ask the mods for a move.
