Default Autogyro Fun Fly is getting close!

All,

If you haven't done so, please mark your calendars for Sept. 7th, 8th and 9th for the 12th Annual Autogyro Fun Fly. This year's event is being held at the beautiful Grundy Aeromodelers flying field (same location as 2006), and should be an awesome time!

Whether you're new or "have been around a while," you need to be there. Autogyros of all kinds will be there, along with the modelers who designed and/or built them. This is the place to see what they are, how they work, see them fly, and of course, ask questions.

You can find a map and more info here: http://www.aerobalsa.com

Hope to see you there!!!

Mike,
I just got mind all placed into my truck and will be making our annual trip North on Friday. I was hoping to get 8 Autogyro's in but will have to settle for 6 flying and 1 non flyer. It seems my wife wanted some room also.
Plan on being there on Thursday after noon.

Mike,
I was going to add a few comments today myself..
I have got a few calls here lately and several people have ask me here in Muncie when the Autogyro's will be flying.. Some think that sense we flew here a few years ago, that we were still flying here.
This should be a good year at Morris again as we will have some new pilots coming as well as some of our pro's..

We have been keeping busy here wiith the Heli Flyin and now the WWI Dawn Patrol going on and next week will be the Electric Fly-in..There will be a least 2 Autogyro's flying there..

Catch you later,

Jim

Hi Jim...

Do you have any idea when (or if) there will be an autogyro fly-in next March in Florida? I'll not be able to make the Sept get-together.

Regards,
Bill

I don't own an autogyro, but feel that this may be a good way to get into something like this. Will there be a swap meet? I fly fixed and rotory wings and feel that this would be a good blend of the two.

Nitrohog,

While we don't have a swap meet, I've seen a transaction or two take place at past events. If nothing else, this is the place to see what these autorotating creations are all about and to ask questions. It would be great have you there -- and anyone else interested in them.

There will be plenty of experienced experts on hand, and I know of at least two or three manufacturers that will be there.

Thanks Jim,

Not too early to start planning! Unfortunately I have a conflict on the weekend following March 8/9.

Mike,
I have been flying one of my Autogyro's here in Muncie to keep in practice.. I will see if Lu's Velcro would be wiling to be a sponser too and maybe add something to the pot.

Hello Mike,

Thankyou for hosting this years Fun-fly. I hope you bring plenty of your good blades so we can stock up for the coming year.
We will be leaving Montana Monday and should be in Morris Wednesday evening. We're bringing four Gyros if we can fit them into our Subaru.
I hope we have a lot of fliers as well as non fliers who want to learn more about our autogyros.

See you on Friday,

Joel

Joel,

Yes... I'll be stocked up. I'm looking forward to seeing all the Gyronuts again, and I'm hoping to see a lot of new faces and models there too!
