Rodger Ramjet

For my first post I have my tail between my legs with a problem. I used the wrong wall wart power supply on my DDVC. Smoke on! I used the one from my CVC gel pack charger - 18v AC. The DDVC uses a 16 volt DC. I have heard of people doing this before. The wall worts look identical, big ACE logo. These units are stackable and I am suprised they did not mark these better, or have different plugs! I just bought a new DX8 xmitter and was pretty jazzed up! BOOM not so much right now. These are great chargers IMO, No longer made and not really a close substitute. So, does anybody have a schematic??? I am good with trouble shooting electronics. Only two chips and discrete components, AH the good ol days!

Spektrum Tx like Jr have the polarity reversed in the charging jack (center pin is negative,instead of positive in almost everything else). If the CVC supply is indeed 18V/AC it would not go too well in a charger meant to run on 16V/DC. If that is the case you could ad a rectifier bridge in the DC charger

I have a hardly used and like new DDVC that is taking up room in the shop if you or anyone else is interested.
