Default Alpha 4 problems?

I don't know what's up with mine , but it takes 3 hours on "A" device to fully fast charge my little park flyer's 7 cell, 600 mah battery. At that rate, it's useless as a field device. I wish I could contact the manufacturers, but we all know the deal here. Otherwise, it suits me as a home based unit when I'm not in a hurry.

How many ports do you have programmed? If all 4 are programmed then the max charge rate is about 250 mA and it would take 3 hours or so to charge a 600 mAh pack. Make sure only one port is programmed and you should be able to charge it in well under 1 hour.

You're right, it's not really a fast field charger. Check out Red's advice, but if the Alpha doesn't suit you, let me know. I could use another.

Red,
Thanks- I reread the instructions and now realize that I have to totally disconnect and open just one port. Duh.But 1 hr. is still slow when you've got an hour or so and want to get 4-5 flights ... I have 2 batteries for this park flyer and hoped for a faster charge. Otherwise, I like the Alpha 4 for its versatility and its great at home.
