Default Glow driver wire question

I have a multi wire harness that has a glow plug charger plug on one of the attachments. It has a broken wire connecting to the part that the glow driver plugs into. I also have a wall wart glow plug charger im not using, so I would like to cut the attachment end off and splice it to the multi wire harness. My question is on the wire harness wires it has a black wire and a red wire. On the wall wart it has a solid black wire and a black wire with a white stripe running through it. Which wire will connect to which when I splice the two together?

Solid Black is NEG-,,, Black with stripe is POS+. Best to check with multi meter first.

Ditto on checking it with a volt meter. Who knows where the wart was made and what color code they used.

Thanks, that is a good idea. Sometimes I wonder about myself. Why didn't I think of that.
