Default Battery Voltage Differences

Emory

I purchased your IMAC 35% Redundant package back in April and have just finished the plane, installed the batterys and have a question. I have 2- 3600 mah 4-cell packs, lets call them A & B. After charging, pack A reads 7.50 volts, but drops within 2 seconds to 7.30 volts. Pack B stays at 7.76 volts and does not drop. I'm using your 1 amp load tester connected thru the switch/charge jack. Directly to the battery gives about .1 volts higher with the same drop in pack A. Another thing, when I tried to charge pack A, the charge light would not light until pack B was plugged into the charger. Then both would light. I switched ports, switched leads, but still could not get pack A to light on it's own, UNTIL I load tested pack A and then it worked fine. Do I have a problem with pack A? I want to fly the plane this weekend, but am having a confidence problem with the one pack. Thanks.

Default Battery Voltage Differences

I have a question on batteries. We just got the Duracell Rechargeable Accu AA/HR6 1.2v batteries for a digital camera. What is the difference in the HR6 and the LR6 batteries? Will they both work? The camera calls for the 1.5v LR6. Would the batteries that we have pruchased work in the camera or will it harm it in any way?

Thanks for the help on this matter. We are new to this and need to do some reading up on the subject.

Thanks Again
K

K,

I am sorry I'am not familiar with your application.

Default RE: Battery Voltage Differences

EMORY,

I do also have the same problem as HAL with the charging of 2x 2800 mAh redundandt packs feeding one receiver. Each have separate switches.

My "pack A's charging light" wil also not light unless "pack B" is connected to the charger.

What is this?

I also have had problems with several packs seriosly loosing voltage withold capacity under 1A load following only 10-12 hours flying with appropriate charging cycles.

Best regards
Kato

Kato,

I apologize for the delayed response as I have been to several events and moved my office the last several weeks. What is happening is the switches don’t disconnect the negative wire thus providing a common ground between the packs. If you disconnect one battery pack from the switch when charging everything will work fine. Please provide me a phone number and we can discuss other options.

Have a great week,

Emory
