Default iMax B6AC won't work on NiMh batteries

When I first got the iMax B6AC charger it worked fine, but now it won't charge or discharge NiMh batteries.
When I try to charge or discharge ANY 4.8V 4-cell NiMh packs the charger starts, but then, almost immediately, says Temp.
I've tried 3 different battery packs, all with the same result.
Look at the two pictures.

What's wrong?

Are you charging at the proper rate, for example 1.1 for a 1100 pack? Does it work on other types of packs?
Not worth fixing when you can obtain one free shipping for the mid $30.00 range, might cost more to return to china for repair and return.........

It makes no difference what charge rate is set, but I've been using C/10. LiPo batteries charge just fine.

I would try messing with the USB/Temp Select setting...put the charger on Temp Cut-Off and set the max temp. to 80°C or turn off the Temp. Cut-Off feature (some models you can, I can't on mine).

Maybe try putting the charger on NiCd setting and put the Delta Peak level on 7mV... I believe the default Delta Peak level is 7mV for a NiMh pack and 12mV for a NiCd battery on the iMax.
