Exclamation Battery and ESC Problem!

Hello everyone,
I have some concerns about my battery and ESC!
First off I have a Traxxas VXL 3m ESC,and a VXL 380 motor. I was using Dnyx 1300mah 11.1v 3S 25C 14wh batteries, I purchased two of them and were using them for a while. The guy at my local hobby shop told me I could charge
them at 6 amps the charge took about 10 mins. Anyways the other day I plugged the battery into my truggy and shortly after my vehicle started smoking really badly, I pulled the shell off and quickly unplugged the battery
and threw it away from me. Now my ESC blinks red and green constantly, and when I plugged the same identical battery in (the second one just like the other), the battery made a hissing sound and smoked a little bit so i immediately unplugged it.
In the second battery I think one of the three cells were dead as my charger was showing 0.00 volts in the second cell..

What I want to know is, is my ESC gone because of the battery blowing and smoking? Why did it do the same thing to the second battery? Is my ESC out (I dont think it is because the lights still blink and it still comes on, just flashes red and green)
If I plug another battery in, will it hiss and smoke like both of the others did?

-Thanks

I would check all your wiring to make sure something didn't let/come loose. The red and green lights blinking (constantly ?) alternately come on if a battery with too high voltage is used, the VXL-3m will then go into a failsafe mode. A 3S pack should not exceed or trip the over voltage protection, unless there is a possibility that your battery's polarity is reversed? Are you pressing and holding the EZ set button too long?

All the wiring is good, and yes they are constantly alternating between red and green. but thats what I thought, why would it blink if theres no way its over voltage?

If there is no indication on the cell's charging capabilities, I would only go as far as a 1C~2C (1.3 amps ~ 2.6 amps) charging rate on 1300mah LiPo packs.

Did your packs ever get hot while charging at 6 amps before?
