I have an old Dumas Thompson Trawler kit that I am just now able to get to building. The 12v motor should be fine. I have the old battery which I doubt will work being 20 yrs old minimum. What would you all recommend for a newer battery and speed control setup? The old battery was 6 v and I could maybe rebuild. I think it used the weight as ballast so not sure if newer technology would be better or worse. All recommends and input appreciated.
