Default SUPER NOVA QUESTION???

HALLO,
I JUST BOUGHT A SUPER AND TRIED TO CYCLE A 4 CELL NICD 1100MAH BATTERY PACK IN MANUAL MODE (CHARGING 300MAH AND DISCHARGING 500MAH) .WHEN THE CHARGER DISCHARGES IT , IT SAYS 1050MAH IN A 500MAH DISCHARGING MANUAL MODE FROM FULLY CHARGED IN ABOUT 2 HOURS. BUT WHEN IT CHARGES IT, THE CHARGER SAYS 550MAH IN A 300MAH MANUAL MODE IN ABOUT 2 HOURS AND IT STOPS. I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHAT IS HAPPENING. FIRST OF ALL WHY THE CHARGER STOPS TO 550 MAH AND SECOND WHERE DOES IT FIND THE 1050 MAH TO DISCHARGE RIGHT AFTER CHARGING 550MAH?

A BIT CONFUSING I KNOW,
THANKS ANYWAY.

Default RE: SUPER NOVA QUESTION???

Don't know if you already figured out or not but the Super Nova employs a "rest period" when discharging at high rates. The unit will stop discharging (fan stops too) This does not mean that the cycle is finished. I fell victim to this neat feature a couple of times. I had wondered why it had stopped but then had more capacity left than it said it had discharged.

Hope this helps.

Charge with right current at 0.1A and see if you get the same result if you do then throw it away. And you are trying to charge a NICD pack you can charge in automode instead and see what happens.
