Default Ni-Cd or NiMH

I'm building an electric, speed 400 with 3:41 gearbox, aircraft for sport flying using 8 2/3 A cells. Should I use nicads or higher Mah NiMh cells?

I don't know why anybody would use Nicads anymore. Yea, I know some people will use them till the day they die, but unless you're stubborn, go with the newer lighter cells.
