Since I don't know the capacity of your pack or the capability of your charger, I can't give you a fair answer. I will say that if you divide the capacity of the pack but the capability of the charger then you will know how may hours to charge the pack. You should then charge it about 10% longer to make sure.

It's a 1400mah Ni-Cd battery.
What exactly do you mean by "the capability of the motor". I might be able to give you an answer.

Not capability of the motor, but the capability of the charger. Most chargers will charge at some rate 50ma, 100ma, 500ma... What rate does your charger charge at?
In any case, to slow charge that pack you should do it at C/10 or 140ma to quick charge the pack, you need to limit it to C which is 1400ma
