Default RE: ? about charging tx battery

Using the Triton's Nicad peak charge routine, the charge rate is .7 (that's POINT 7) amps. This rate is also called '1C' and it's a safe rate to fast charge a 700ma NiCad OEM AA pack while at the field.

Slow charging (10% rate, 14-16 hours) is 70ma.. and the tritions lowest setting is 100ma (.1), so the Trition might not be your best option for normal slow charging. Probably your best option for routine maintainance slow charging of your OEM 700ma Tx pack is the wall wart that came with the radio set.

Hope this helps!

I have the same Tx with the same battery and with my Hobbico Elite, I have been charging at 1.5C, which equates to 1.0 A (1000mA).
