TRITON charger question ** anyone had this problem ***
I have the Triton charger which I bought from a seller here on RCU. At first I thought it was so simple that I was just plain missing it. The display all works and as per instructions I go about setting it up for charge. I leave it on and I don't seem to get anything. I have checked it with a volt meter at the outputs and I am not getting anything. Has anyone else had this ?
Am I missing something ? Or is it dead and needs returning to Tower for repair. Any suggestions/experience will be gratefully appreciated.
Cheers, Bob

I don't recognise your name, ( I hope you didn't get from me)
I can try to help, telling you the normal routine is to have a type and amp setting on the display and then pushing the round button starts the test and then 1 second later starts the charge.
Immediately the display should go from 0.0 to the set point up to 5 amps. I think it even double beeps when the start button is pushed.
Your isn't doing this?

I just checked mine, and it beeps everytime I push any buton. Set battery type first, and then menu to get to a charge screen. Then "hold" round button down to start. does your display "test" and then show 0.0?

Yes if you push it once, it selects a value which flashes then you turn it to change the selection and then push again to stop it from flashing and confirm.
After that though you can start chargeing from that screen by pushing and holding.

glad to hear it, nothing wrong with it. When I first got mine, I had already read the manuel 2 or 3 times, and continue to have to refer back to it. It's not laid out the best, but everything is in there. It's just written in such a way that defies my logic. The charger user funtions too are laid out rathewr strange too (like the manuel) I guess I'm used to it. now
