Default Need identification help!

I have recently acquired a plane (Carl Goldberg Super Chipmunk) with an on-board glow driver system in it. The system includes an external on\off switch, a throttle servo actuated switch, and an external charging port. The component in question here is this port. It is a small, silver, round port, about 1/8" deep. It has threads on it as if the charger can attach to it securely. I am trying to find a charger that will adapt to this type of port. If anyone has an idea as to what type of system this is, please chime in. I will attempt to get pics of it ASAP. Thanks.

Why don't you just replace them? Radio Shack has some nice coaxial plugs and connectors. Mount in a 7/16" hole.

Looks like it might be an 1/8" phone jack. I don't belive the threads attach to the plug. Can you show a photo of the inside or the jack itself??

The jack is not as deep as a phone jack connector, it is maybe 1/4" deep, if that. will try to get a pic of the back of the connector this afternoon.

Primodus,
Boy your're fast. Answered before I got the photo up. You can also search Allied Electronics or Newark Electronic on line catalogs.

Primodus,
Even with the pictures I cannot make out what type the jack is. Sorry. An 1/8" jack and plug would work however.

I tested a 1/8" audio phone plug in the jack and it was a perfect fit. Now I have a new issue. I know that there are different types of 1/8" audio plug styles. Which one will give the proper internal polarity connections. I noticed the negative wire is not connected to the jack lead, but to the jack housing itself.

2 Styles of 1/8" plugs are common - stereo (3 terminal) and mono (2 terminal). It is common for the ground to be connected to the housing for audio and does no harm as a negative for a battery system. If you get a stereo plug it will also substitute for a mono plug in a stereo jack. Plug it in and read the voltage off the plug terminals to get polarity for your charger.
