Lipo battery info
Im beginning my conversion to lithium batteries....I fly mostly 400 class brushless geared sportplanes...will a 6c lipo or lithium ion work.....or should I go to 10c.....all I will use is 3 cell 11.1 prob....just feel that I need some basic info....thanks ...dave

You will be better off with the 10c because most lipos are over rated by the manufactors but it all realy depends on the amps you will need to to get the power you need. Figure out the amps you need and chose a battery that will supply it.

The life of a LiPo is very dependent on it care and use. If you overcharge, discharge to to low a value or try to draw to much current, lifetime can be seriously effected. You will almost guaranteed failure if you let one of the cells fall below 2.7 volts (3 volts is the recommended lowest value to reach). Exceeding the allowable current will cause severe overheating of the cells an probable permanent damage.
