read everything, still confused : NiMH charging
Folks,
I just got myself a 9 cell RCC1000 NiMH flight pack. I understand that the pack needs to be conditioned at C/10, which in my case would be a 14 - 16 hour charge at 100mAh.
Which in a way is thge answer to my question I think, just checking if I am right about this. I do have a Hitec-CG340 field charger, which gives me the option to charge NiMH from 0.2 - 1.5 amps. I guess that one is no good for my conditioning charge? I need one that does 0.1 amps, correct?

100mA is correct. BTW the other reason why your CG340 is not suited for this purpose is that it switches itself off after 2 hours.

Thanks, that is what I was afraid of in a way.
Will have to look into what chargers are available that will do what I need, preferably ones that are AC/DC input capable.

with my older chargers then? I was looking at some
1200 4.8 volt RX packs. there pretty cheap these days. I am

It depends what your "older chargers" are. Some are o.k. with NiMH, some are not. The slow chargers that come with the radio are o.k. except they can take a very long time to charge the much bigger batteries.
