Default charging a gel cell 12v 17AH battery

I would like to know if i could charge a gel cell 12v 17amp hour battery with my litco alpha-4 charger. It charges my 12v 7ah gel cell battery fine, but not sure it will charge a 17ah gel cell. I appreciate any help.Thanks..

It should. It will just take longer to fully charge if the gel-cell is really depleted.

Thanks Kadet.. I thought i would have to get another larger charger. Litco instructions do not say anything about charging larger than 7 amp hour gel cells.

Lead Acid batteries charge with a constant voltage.
If the circuit has a current limiting circuit then it should be OK.
What you have to be careful of is if a fully depleted battery would damage the charger.
Other than that, you should be able to use it without any problems.
