Default Nickel batts vs. NiCads (weight savings)

What is the generally accepted weight savings seen by switching to Nmh batteries vs. NiCads?

I'd say the capacity doubles and the weight stay the same. If going to a smaller battery then keep the same capacity and the weight savings may be 30-50% ?? A guess.

Be carefull with any generalities.
You also have to look at the application and the internal resistance of the pack (cells)
