Default What batteries to buy??

Hello, I just started to build a QQ yak 54 that needs two batteries. One battery is ignition for the gas engine and other is for servos. I don’t know much about batteries except my Futaba standard 600mah works well on my other airplanes with less servos. What would be a couple of good batteries for this plane? What is the best? I will be running two Futaba standard ball bearing and four Futaba High torque servos. I would like to go with 6volt if possible. I am also using a Futaba standard 7 channel receiver. Thanks...........

for NiMH and Nicad go here for info/batteries
http://www.hangtimes.com/ep.html
for Lithium Ion info/batteries go here
http://www.fromeco.org/
I have used both companies and they are great.

I noticed that the batteries can go up to 7.4 volts. Is this ok for a regular Futaba dual conversion receiver? Can I charge the fromeco on my Futaba charger? thanks for the reply.....

Fromeco batteries require special charger. You would need to use regulator between pack and rx to bring voltage down to 6 volts. Look at the hangtime website it has some good info reguarding the +'s & -'s of the different battery types. here=
