battery pack getting hot
I have three 5cell SANYO NI-MH battery packs 2100 mA.
Looking at my history of them I started using them on 4/15/04
Been using them right along but the last two times I cycled them the
battery packs got really hot, how hot you ask, hot enougy that you can't hold them tightly in you hand.
Is this an indication I should trash them and replace them?

RE: battery pack getting hot
I have a Peak Electronics cycler, it discharges to a preset value.
Then when I put the pack on their peak charger it gets pretty hot.
I have since got some new packs from NoBs Batteries.
The pack in question was pretty old.
I am watching you

PS thanks for your reply

Do you know how many amps you are pulling on the packs? You may be sucking more out than they are willing to provide..
