Default discharge limit for 7.4 Li-Ion

What is the discharge limit for a 7.4 Li-ion battery? In other words, how low can the battery be drained prior to requiring a charge?

What is the rule of thumb for this?

All the Best

Duralites are 6.9v with a 1 amp load.

I know on Fromeco, they recommend 7.0v under 1A load is the no fly level

Yea. the problem is the question of safe battery to hurting the battery. The best is not the question of voltage as much as using up the capacity. For long life aka. 300 cycles. only drain out 70 to 80% so when recharging do not put in more than 75% this is the safe way. Now as you get to this you can check the open cell voltage and loaded voltage and know the truth then recharge at less than 1C..0.8C

Becareful most older ESC "WILL" destroy LiPO's ...cutoff to low in the 3V per cell area is to low for some LiPO's. Like I said their is no number for all, depends on manufacture and how used. We know that 2V/cell damages them, zero is perment. Stop at 3.5V/cell or 7V most of the capacity is used then recharge try not to use more that 80% of capacity. If only put in 50% then go longer on run, after four or five cycles you will get the used time and the stop time.if you can setup the LVC voltage then reset and verfy used capacity. Your LiPO's will love you fro it.
