Hi all,

I just got a Duratrax Intellipeak ICE and I think it is quite impressive. However, in most lighting conditions the LCD is not easy to read. Has anyone hacked a backlight into that device yet? In any way?

Check for message to your account on their site. I waited three weeks to discover that my SPAM filter ate their emails and that they were waiting for me to tell them what color I wanted the backlight to be!

I've now looked at the directions - They are reasonably clear but amazingly they left out the step that tells you _where_ to put the backlight! They have very detailed directions on how to perform MAJOR surgery on your charger, with the exception of the important part of just where the backlight goes.

I've put it off for a while as I've not felt like the total disassembly of my unit right now...

the birth date is t check if you are older 18. We try to remove that for the same reson you told me but I don't know how. Remember we don't use any of your privacy info. It is only for the payment procesing. Also we was having a delay on some orders because the inverters we order don't fit inside the charger but now we have the correct ones installed. Also if you need some help in the installation just contact me.

If all you need is the age then either ask it or ask the year of birth only. It is too easy to do wicked things with a CC#, Exp. date, name, and DOB. Not making any accusations here but remember that you are new to me and you are not listed on ResellerRatings.com.

Well My back light has come in today. Installation has gone well. I had a little issue with the back light not fitting in behind the lcd screen. I just trimmed my new back light to fit. The kit comes with lot of extra wire coming from inverter and plug to back light. I'd recommend cutting it down some so it isn't so cluttered, i may go back in and neaten up in the morning. But great kit non the less, i just wished i received it in a more timely manner. I got the purple color and is a little dimmer than what i had imagined, but i wanted something a little different and works well, thanks
