Default Battery Storage

What's the best way to store rx and tx batterys over the winter,charged or discharged?

Put them in zip lock bags, label the bag and place them in the vegetable crisper of the refrigerator.

Discharge them to about 0.9-1.0V per cell

To go along with this ???... if you leave a computer radio unplugged for an extended period of time.. will the memory erase?

No it won't, it has a lithium battery inside to keep the memory intact.
