Default Does Backup have to be same as primary?

I just put a new 3500mah battery in my cap 580. It has a Jomar battery backer with a 2400mah back up. Does it matter that the batteries are not rated the same?

Thanks for any input.

Capacity doesn't matter as long as they are the same voltage.

With the Jomar battery backer, Can one battery be 5 cell 5000mah Nimh and the other be 5 cell 1800 mah Nicad?
