Default RE: Charger-Battery Question...

6720 for the faster one. ignore
2700 for the lower one. ignore

Top one delivers 1800 in 2.5 hrs.
Bottom one takes 6 hrs to deliver 1800

I'd use the faster one while checking temps toward the end because the figures can be off quite a bit.
The current is the info needed to calculate chargeing times (it is per hr)

Yep, that would be a great safey stop to put it on a 2.5 hr timer. The faster one would be fine.

You must remember any time you use something designed for one thing and use for something else you are now reasonable for it’s outcome. When you plug in the high 9.6 V into 7.2 battery the rating are no longer valid. May put out more current than rated may over heat charger or NOT! You must monitor it the first few times to make sure. If you have a current meter use it to see, if not then know how much your ran the battery down and time it as it charges around 1.55 volts per cell it’s getting done an should start to warm up, now it’s time to stop.

Lots of times the sticker will list the battery voltage , yet the embossed info on the plastic case will list a current and output voltage. The output voltage is always higher than the battery nominal voltage that it's designed for. The voltage is always a lot higher than that when not chargeing. If the voltage wass 7.2 on the device then the battery would power the device (backwards).

today i bought a 6-cell peak charger. it charges w/ 900mA until delta peak and stops the charge then it pulses the battery w/ 100mA every hour to maintain the full charge now i don have to bother with the charging time or overcharge issues
