I have a 2S - 7.2v / 2200mAh lipo pack
I opened the shrink wrap and divided the cells in 2.
Now I have (2) sources of 3.7v wich I'm soldering into PARALLEL to get 3.7V @ 4400mAh right?
Now my question is what should I set my charger to charge this pack? 3.7v @ 2200mAh or 3.7v @ 4400mAh?

I already sealed this battery but I will do the same with a 11.1v (2200mAh) lipo that I have, I will put the 3 cells in pararell. Right now my mini DVR recorded video 12hours in a row with the 7.2v lipo battery I modified and voltage is still on the 3.89v to be exact. If I mod the 11.1v lipo I could get 6600mAh wich is enought for a long day of recording.
Before the 7.2v (2200mAh) lipo pack charging time was 45-60min, now with the new setup 3.7v (4400mAh) charging time took 128min, but is worth it because now I have over 12 hours of recording with the LCD display on my mini DVR always on.
I had to scratch the tabs and use a lot of flux so the wire soldered good, but is a pain in the behind to do it, plus I have to be very careful because when soldering the tabs get really hot and the battery can KABOMM on me.
