CheapBatteryPacks.Com
hi Guy's
I have been thinking about getting "cheapbatterypacks" to build me a pack(8.4v 7 cell 5000mah odd double with deans connector) Has anybody had a pack made from them? Let me know how they are.....

I've ordered from them about 4 times. Last order was about a year ago. I like the fact I get a pack that I know will fit into the plane I was building without having to mod the plane.
Some observations:
1. They either soldered up one of my packs incorrectly or a dead cell made its way in there (can't blame them for that; they can't test every cell they get). I found their email support a bit weak. It took an exchange of emails for them to understand the problem, although it was all in the original email. They did fix the problem, though. I had to pay for shipping the pack to them, they shipped it back to me for free.
2. Their turn-around time was unbelievable. I'd often have my packs within 5 days of ordering.
3. I really like the silicon wire they usevery flexible.
4. Since it's a custom pack, be sure to consider all you'd need, not just the shape of the pack and wire/connector. It doesn't hurt to ask for a slightly longer or shorter lead, or to consider if there is an optimal place for the lead to exit the pack.
5. In spite of #1, I'd do business with them again.
