got my new triton and want to be sure i have it set up corectly for 1100 mha JR transmitter battery.

what are your settings for:

discharge current....
discharge cutoff current....
peak sensitvity.......peak delayat start:
temp. scale f....
delay between chg/disch:.....
safety timer.....

Is it a nicad or nimh battery?? Generally charging, at 1C or less seems to prolong battery life. If it is a Nimh battery, JR instructions advise to charge very slowly (like a couple hundred MAH) for the first few cycles...

I normally charge at 3 amp and let the automatic features of the charger take care of everything else.... YMMV...
