Hey guys, I have two Orion 4500mah NiMH 6c batteries. I also have a Dynamite Prophet sport charger. I ran one of the batteries completely dead and today, charging at only 1 amp, it only took one hour and forty-five minutes to charge...that doesn't sound right, does it? I was told it would take "hours." Thanks for the help.

1A charging is about 2000mAh after two hours. If the you only got < 2000mAh into the battery it may not be "form charged yet". Was it warm after charging? If not, it "false peaked" on the Prophet (I have two of them). Hit the charge button again if the battery is not yet warm. When NiMH are fully charged, they should be warm in your hands. Not crazy hot, but like a moderately warm cup of coffee.
I'd suggest you charge that pack at 4A rather than 1A or 2A. Sure, 1A is slow and nice for battery life but tend to charge them at 4A every time you want to run and on a day-off, do a full charge on 1A just to give them a sort-of balancing charge.
If 1A was done to "full" state, it may have taken 4.5 hours. But a false peak will end it early.
