Which charger and what about the ZTS MBT-1 tester?
Hi folks, some advice please.
I would like to buy a good charger (perhaps Super Brain 989) that takes very good care of my battery packs, NiCd, NiMH rather than Lithium at the moment. I would like to know the Ah values of the charge to individual cells and, if possible, I would like a USB interface to my computer for storing and analysing this data. Which charger should I buy? Reliability is a factor as well. I live very far away and the airfreight of the unit back to the manufacturer for warranty repairs is impossibly high.
Then a tester to determine the actual charge held in the pack: I like the idea of the pulse load technology of ZTS Inc (www.ztsinc.com) with their MBT-1 tester. But this is designed to test individual cells, not a pack. I am toying with the idea of constructing my own packs with added wiring to enable the MBT-1 to test individual cells within the pack. What do people think?
Best wishes

Check out the Bantam line on our website. Tons of options.
